Troy B. Chisolm is a seasoned healthcare executive with over 30 years of progressive leadership experience in behavioral health and hospital administration. A Life Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (LFACHE), he is widely respected for his ability to lead complex organizations through growth, transformation, and operational excellence.
Previously serving as Chief Operating Officer at Vanderbilt Psychiatric Hospital, Troy had responsibility for operational strategy, quality improvement, patient safety, workforce development, and capacity management for one of the Southeast's leading academic medical centers. He has implemented innovative systems to optimize patient flow, enhance satisfaction, and streamline resource utilization.

His leadership has consistently yielded financial turnaround, improved patient experience, expanded service lines, and enhanced staff engagement. Notably, he has overseen multimillion-dollar expansions, reorganized underperforming departments, and championed initiatives in academic psychiatry and residency education.
His commitment to community and professional service is evident through decades of board leadership, including with the American Hospital Association, Mental Health America, National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), and Habitat for Humanity. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for ACHE of Middle Tennessee and Mental Health America of the Mid-South.
Troy holds a Master of Healthcare Administration from Seton Hall University and a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology from Howard University. A mission-driven leader, he remains dedicated to advancing equitable, compassionate, and high-performing leaders.
